- As a Blagdon Watergarden Products dealer, we are stockists of the Amphibious Submersible pump range. This pump range has proven itself over many years to be a very reliable as well as being easy to service. The pumps come with a 3 Year guarantee plus a lifetime bearing guarantee. 7 pump models complete the range and all but the largest two come complete with "T" piece flow adjuster and fountain jet.
- Additional pump ranges usually in stock are Oase, Remanoid & Neptune Low Voltage as well as the Lotus Solar Diamond.
- The increase in interest in Solar Pumps has caused us to explore the options and there is a misinformed trend towards these pumps. The facts are that a Solar Pump requires a high level of Solar Light (Sunshine) and the systems currently available do not generally have any storage facility (i.e. batteries). This means that the pump responds intantly to sufficiently bright levels of sunlight and performs in proportion to the sunlight level, but as soon as the level reduces, the proformance drops of until no pumping takes place. Because of the lack of storage facility, the power cannot be saved for
use later and the pump will not operate in subdued light conditions (such as evenings). It is therefore, no use having a Solar Pump to power your Patio or Pond Water Feature for you to enjoy during the evening, nor is it sufficient for powering any biological filter system or nightime oxygen supplying fountain.
- An alternative to Solar Pumps and/or the installation of a safe mains supply for a 230/240 volt pump is the Neptune Low Voltage pumps. Available in two models with ready made plug-in low voltage extension leads, these pumps are supplied with transformers to reduce the voltage to 24 volt and are easily installed at up to 50 Metres from the transformer for the largest model (Neptune 1400) and 100 Metres from the transformer for the smaller model (Neptune 600)
